Paper: Argumentation / Persuasion Abortion The thought of killing a human being, to most people, is bone chilling and can stand the hair on the back of your neck on end. Taking some ones life is the end all, and even in the most justifiable circumstances, anyone would buckle and not go through with it. Abortion, on the other hand, is a justifiable murder do to the fact that if you don’t think you can take care of a child, why even go through the psychological changes to change your mind. Abortion is an operation to end a pregnancy by removing an embryo or fetus from the womb. There are two main types of abortion procedures used today; suction-aspiration, and dilation and curettage (www.abortion facts.com). These two procedures …show more content…
Lastly, if one side of the relationship does not want the responsibilities that a child brings, then consider raising a child alone. The chances are that no matter what you choose, the opposing partner will most likely stick to there guns and leave if the child is conceived, so why even put your self in the situation. On the other hand, medical studies have shown that an EEG (electroencephalograph) is on of the leading ways to determine death. It is used to show brain wave activity, and has shown brain activity in fetuses 40-43 days after being conceived (www.leaderu.com). Another creditable argument is that the heartbeat is a sign of life. The fetus develops the heart at 18 days. A stopped heart is a valid sign of death and if the issue was defining life, then abortion would be outlawed everywhere. Even though the medical indications are credible, the fact still remains, if you are not ready to have a child, then it is best to make the decision early and know that the best decision was made due to the circumstances. There are plenty of ways to prevent the realities of even the option of having an abortion. Practicing safe sex i.e. abstinent, condoms, and birth control, to name a few. Taking your time before having sex and educating yourself on the risks of both sides. Although, if the pregnancy is unexpected and there are no cons to having a child then consider the alternative. In conclusion, the views
The latest research into development and learning of babies and young children shows that early stimulation are vital to the healthy development of brain. Babies are born with 100 billion neuron cells and they need to connect together in order to function. Many of these connections are made as result of what a baby senses and experiences. Stimulation, sufficient sleep and healthy diet makes a difference in allowing connections to be made. Development of brain begins well before birth. Neurons (cells in the brain which transmit electrical impulses to other cells) are formed between the 10th and 20th week of pregnancy. These cells are critical as they will later join together to allow the brain to function properly. Electrical pulses pass between cells via dendrites and axons which causes the connection between the neuron cells. The dendrites and axons of the neurons develop and begin the process of joining up in the final two months of pregnancy. Those that have not made enough strong connections are killed off and this is one reason why some children are
However, keeping the child would mean having the responsibility to properly take care of another human life. If it is YOUR child, it is YOUR liability. Not being able to provide that sort of stability would be risking a child’s happy and healthy future. In one study, unwanted children were less likely to have a secure family leading to higher chances of participation in criminal acts and lower self-esteem. Do you think it is right to withhold a woman’s wishes to potentially save their child from
Have you ever wanted a child? For those that are not dealing with pregnancy, this is a very simple question, that can be answered with only a, “Yeah, having one wold be neat in the future,” or, “No thanks, I don’t really like kids,” But what about those that are pregnant? Having this question of whether or not someone truly wants a child or not can be very complicated for those that maybe aren’t financially stable, have been sexually assaulted and the child is a result of that, or maybe, its just that the person isn’t ready. For those that are not equipped for such a task of responsibility, what would they do? There are several possible options that could be done for those that do not want to have children, or for those that are pregnant but
People think that marriage is all about children but it is not. The choice is up to the adults whether or not they want to have children, According to the author. Some people have specific reasons as to why they do not want to have children such as not being ready or not knowing if they have what it takes to be a parent. Also they do not see the need that they should have children when they are already happy with one another as it is. “Childfree by Choice” by Kelly Welch explains it well as to why people do not need to have children.
A lot of people consider abortion a form of murder because they consider the fetus to be a human being. It is because of this that they would never get an abortion and they would get mad at others who did. People consider babies a gift from God and even unplanned pregnancies are seen as God’s gift to the parents. People who are against abortion state other humans are in no position to play God and that we have no right to choose who lives and who dies. Some reasons that pregnant women consider not having an abortion are because the chances of getting pregnant afterwards decline and because of the emotional pain that is felt with the loss of a mother’s child. It is a very tragic event in a woman’s life and its something that can’t be reversed or taken back. People who are against abortion argue that
Waiting to start a family until you are emotionally or financially stable is certainly a responsible decision, but it’s also crucial for you to understand
There are several circumstances that may cause a woman to choose to have an abortion. For instance, if she conceived because of a rape or incest, she may not want to carry the child to term. While the mother may not want a constant reminder running around, bringing back memories of what had happened to her, luckily, abortion is not her only alternative. Numerous families are incapable of having children of their own and would be extremely grateful and feel privileged to be able to adopt a newborn. If she becomes pregnant unexpectedly and is not in a position in her life to raise a child, she may feel she does not currently want to have a child. In the event test results show the child will be born with a life-threatening disability, the mother may prefer to abort. A woman might also choose to abort if her medical (ectopic pregnancy) or mental health would be in jeopardy by continuing the pregnancy (Finer et al. 112). Nevertheless, there are laws in place that permit a woman to decide whether the unborn child lives or dies.
Unwanted pregnancies can cause many issues, such as financial and health problems, as always there is the option of aborting the child. Finding an abortion clinic willing to help however is challenging due to the varying laws of abortion, specifically the difference is laws from state to state. 37 out of 50 United states require parental involvement of some sort, 21 of those 37 states require at least one parent to give consent, 11 of the 37 require that at least one parent is notified, 5 of the 37 states require both parents to be notified and at least one to give consent, 1 of those 5 require that both parents to give consent. Of the remaining 18 states, 8 require a doctor's permission and 10 use the “clear and convincing reasoning” rule. According to the GuttMacher institute (2015 statistic) With this many laws in place and endless exceptions to them by the time you get approved to have an abortion it may be too late to have a legal
When partners expecting to become parents discover that one or both of them have fertility problems, they face a variety of options to bring a child into their lives. They could choose the option of adopting a child, or they may choose from a variation of medical technologies. They must decide whether they prefer the uncertainties and complexities of the adoption process or of the medical response to infertility. All options carry risks for both the mother and fetus, and they may also be expensive. Many techniques are also not covered by insurance policies.
“Unplanned pregnancies can halt a woman's career, education, as well as other goals that they may desire to achieve in life.” Having a child takes a lot of responsibility and maturity. While most mothers choose to keep the child despite the circumstances, mothers always have options. They could choose between keeping the child, aborting the child, or giving the child up for adoption. I believe that if someone has chosen not to keep their baby, adoption is the next best thing. When adopting a child there are several advantages for both the adopted child and their adoptive family.
This gives couples a chance to complete an education, build careers, and establish their own relationship. Delaying parenthood until one feels secure and emotionally mature makes sense for some couples.

Just because an abortion is legal, that does not make it morally or ethically correct.
Whether a mother wants to get an abortion or not, is up to the individual. Everyone is entitled to the rights of their own body, therefore it is wrong to tell someone what they can and can’t do with it. Pregnancy has a huge effect on the mother’s body alone; it changes every aspect of her life forever. Having a child, especially if it is unplanned, could potentially disrupt her career, social life and many other important parts of everyday life.
Plain and simple, if you’re not ready, than don’t do it. If you do decide to have this child
