Expert Solution
Step 1

Viruses are omnipresent. They are living inside the cell and they are non-living outside the cell.

They are considered neither biotic nor abiotic.

There are two types of viruses plant viruses and animal viruses the viruses that infect animals are known as animal viruses and the viruses that infect plants are known as plants viruses.

Depending on the genetic material there are two types of viruses DNA viruses and RNA viruses. Auto new viruses are known as retroviruses.

Step 2

The DNA replication is a semiconservative process in which a new strand of DNA is synthesized by using the previous DNA strand.

New DNA strand is complementary to the old strand.

From the DNA and mRNA is synthesized and from messenger RNA a protein is synthesized.

The process of formation of DNA from DNA is known as replication and the process of formation of mRNA from DNA is known as transcription and the process of formation of protein from mRNA is known as translation.

DNA replication occurs inside the nucleus.

Transcription also occurs inside the nucleus whereas translation occurs inside the cytoplasm.
