In our class some kids forget their homework. I’m not saying it’s not a mistake but it has become more of a problem as the year has gone by. You can fix this problem by doing many things. You could get organised, or even put it in your folder right after you get that worksheet or assignment done. If you forget your homework at school you could ask your teacher if you could come in before class starts and do your homework at that time. But with that solution comes another. If you can come in for recess you could get your homework done at that time or you could get it done at AP. That’s how you could fix the problem of forget your
Why do children not do as well in school as they should? Today I would like to discuss what I believe to be the culprit, homework. Here are three reasons why I think homework should be optional, my first reason is homework can make you lower your grade if you just forget about turning it in making a 100 A+ grade to a grade of a 90 A, that’s crazy right? According to a vote published on Debate.org, 78% of people think that homework should be optional, only 22% disagree. A majority like that may surprise you. The third and final reason is that the student might have a lot of chores to do and complete all of their chores, but while they were doing their chores, they forgot their homework. Then their grade goes down, or students do their homework
Do you hate homework well, I do! ,because you don't have any time to play with your friends, sports, after school and we need time to spend with their families.
Students should get homework because they learn key morals from it that they should learn. In the article “The Importance of Homework and Studying”, the author Diane Ravitch supports homework, saying that “they provide an opportunity for children to develop self-discipline, study habits, and time management skills.”. These skills will help the students further in the future, and also “Children can set homework goals and enjoy a feeling of accomplishment when the goals are met.”. This will make the student feel more responsible and confident in them.
Once they arrive in class, they will place the homework face down in the paper tray for the correct class period. These trays will be located at the back of the classroom and be clearly marked to ensure students are well aware of what basket is for their class. Students will be responsible for making sure that their name and the correct date is on the homework; if students do not write their name on the paper, they will not get credit for the assignment. Students who do not have their homework for whatever reason will be responsible for filling out a “missing homework” document on which they must list the class period, date and assignment missed, as well as the reason they do not have their work. Blank copies of this form will be located next to the homework tray. Once students have filled out the document, they will turn it into the tray like any other assignment. This will allow me to keep clear documentation regarding student work for future questions or concerns from parents or administrators. All of this needs to be completed before the bell rings to signal the beginning of class, as I will collect it during the first 5 minutes while students are working on bell work posted on the
Do you think we should have homework? Homework may help us practice but it’s not important as you think it is. If you think homework is important and teachers should give it to us I am going to try and change your mind about that.
In Rachel Vail article I agree with some of her statements. The statement that stuck out of the most to me was that middle schoolers forgot to do their homework. I do my homework but then I leave at home. I do the homework if I like it but if I is to hard I don’t do it. And sometimes I leave it in my locker and i can’t go get it out of locker. I agree with her with the homework because that like me because I do it then i leave it or I lose it in hall at school. I sometimes get lazy and I don’t do it. Then I wake up at the middle of the night and then I do it. I hate getting bad grades but then i get the bad grade so i am working on my homework when I get home right away. I agree with that statement I did that homework , positive I did
In my school, ROWVA Central Elementary, we have a problem of losing our things in our desks. Since we can’t find things in our desks, then a various number of people end up getting late homework and either you have to redo the assignment or earn a zero on it. When you gain zeroes, then your grade immediately goes down and you have to work to get it back up. One solution for this problem is we Another solution is that we could keep our desk organized and remember to keep all the same subject together so we don’t have to dig around in our desks to find what we need. Also, maybe there could be one day where everyone cleans out their desks and takes home any graded papers that they had kept in their folders. We could have everyone make
We need to get rid of homework in our school’s. Homework has become the number one stressor in our youth’s lives today. They are constantly being overwhelmed by large loads of work to do that is usually due the very next day. It is wearing kids out, it’s stressing them out and it is taking up time for them to grow there aside from school.
Ever come home tired and not in the mood to do homework? Here are some darn good reasons why you shouldn't. You already have school 7 hours of school a day. You also need to get sunlight and exercise. Lastly, studying for too long isn’t good for your brain. Keep reading for more information on why you shouldn’t do your homework.
Although students have the potential to achieve satisfactory grades, they do not legitimately learn anything throughout their school career. Young people often forget what they have learned in school due to interference in memory. The failure to simply retrieve information from the brain also causes inattention in even the most intellectual students. Moreover, students need constant social relations with each other to flourish . No one has a craving to work in multiple, short class periods with pounds of homework to take care of later! School days should be extended two hours without homework assignments in order to successfully increase student productivity and efficiency.
Have you ever forgotten to do your homework or decided that you didn’t want to do it? This is definitely not the best thing to do. You must always do your homework and turn it in or your school life is going to be rough. If you don’t do your homework you will have bad grades, mad parents, and you won’t graduate.
My project is a way not only to share my findings, but to come to a conclusion about the way I will handle homework in my future classroom’s as an
Think back to elementary school, when dividing in math class was hard. Staring at the numbers at the paper and forgetting the order of steps in the dividing process. Even when trying their best, many young students still struggle with not understanding the material. The struggle was normally noticed and, as a result, the teacher would send out extra homework and insist “practice makes perfect.” The thought was that giving students homework would give them the additional practice to learn the material. This theory has been the current trend for the past few years. However, it might be time to reconsider this method of learning. Perhaps it is time to leave the worksheets behind and keep the students from wearing out. Homework in elementary schools should be reduced to meaningful work. By comparing and contrasting previous homework methods and the current ban on homework in elementary schools, many school districts will be analysed in their current decision to reduce the typical amount of homework until fourth grade.
Many students in school struggle to complete piles of homework assigned to them each night. Some wonder if homework is really critical to learning, and many wish homework wouldn’t exist at all. These people argue that homework is overwhelming and it takes away most of their free time at home and is just “busy work”. While some people may feel this way, I personally believe that homework is a key point of learning because it teaches time management and helps solidify what was learned during the day.
Many teachers assign large amounts of homework to students. Unfortunately this causes a lot of stress, loss of time, or decrease in homework quality and effectiveness. Too much homework is not worth the extra effort put out by teachers and students, and teachers should take consideration to the well-being of the students by encouraging them to learn and get the schoolwork done effectively and correctly. Student’s careers and lives often depend on what they learn in school, and what is taught can make a huge impression on their opinions and attitudes, so it is imperative that they are taught in a manner that is effective and understandable. Large amounts of homework are not the most effective ways to teach.
