The development of every nation hinges on the effectiveness of their transportation systems. Movement of goods, services and people to and from work is made possible by transportation systems. The importance of effective transportation systems cannot be over-emphasized. A lot of countries are facing Transportation problems and my country Ghana is no exception. A trip of about 30 minutes can take about an hour or more due to traffic jams. This is seriously impacting productivity and has been a topical issue in the country. The situation is the same in Uganda where I currently work. To this end, Transportation Engineers are needed to design roads/ highways that will stand the test of time, plan effective traffic management systems to reduce travel
Mechanical Engineering has not only given us inventions such as the car that have improved our lives but also captured the imagination of the world through space travel and the Apollo missions. To achieve breakthrough in technology, we will always need great mentors, state-of-art infrastructure and real motivation and Lawrence Tech is one of them.
I take this opportunity to introduce myself as a final year undergraduate student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SASTRA University, an elite university which is always among the top 50 engineering universities of India. As a child I enjoyed playing with hot wheels cars and grew up using remote controlled cars. I was always fascinated in understanding their mechanisms as I wanted them to go faster and faster. My interest for electronics had its first footing from these experiences. Electronics in particular interested me a lot with its presence in every aspect of our daily life. With interest in electronics, during high school years I constructed logic gates and started making small toys using batteries and motors. With such fascination for electronics I
We live in an era where most of everyday life is made easy by inventions and innovations. Majority of the inventions are done by integration of different technologies which allows the creation of complex applications to become a reality, thus emphasizing its importance. Such integration could do revolutionary changes in every aspect and helps reduce waste, times, costs, allows producing a broader range of products. This highlights the importance of the powerful tools and concepts of Mechanical engineering which when applied effectively can revolutionize the face of any system.
As a young boy, I would often dismantle my small toy cars and re-model them. The activity never lost its zest and as I grew up, It is very fascinating to watch different cars passing by me day and night. I always wonder how cars are designed and developed and I dreamed that one day I wished to become an engineer and work towards my dream of designing cars for the best names in the world. It is this pursuit of knowledge that has been my motivation and has made me to apply for masters program in your esteemed university. I was confident about my choice and knew that it was the best way forward…till destiny took me to Germany.
I strongly desire to continue my further education and research at your university. I understand the high level of commitment, authenticity and determination required for succeeding in your program. I am more than prepared and enthusiastic to work towards achieving it and my desire to excel would allow me to make a remarkable involvement to the university. The range and diversity of institutions and programs makes graduate study in the USA the best in the
I write this as an undergraduate student seeking admission to the Electrical Engineering graduate program of Stanford with a research focus on Hardware/Software Systems. The exponential advancement in technology over the last decade with the rise of Internet of Things and Big data analytics has necessitated novel computational techniques. New design paradigms in hardware architectures have emerged to expand the capabilities of physical devices. I am fascinated by the potential impact of efficient system design and analysis on information technology. At graduate school, I would like to work at the intersection of embedded systems and data science, contributing to tackling various design challenges that include designing energy efficient and secure systems and analyzing collected data to make new hypotheses. I consider my choice of
I am Kristoph. I was always fascinated on how machineries work and make our lives easier and, also how structural complexity has engineered the world into another dimension. That is how I was inspired to consider studying civil engineering as my main course. I was determined that one day, I will be in the position to design the complexity structure in my country at an extent while considering the potential how environmental hazard. However, the idea of studying civil engineering was not supported by my families, they had different thought that medicine is a better option in comparison to civil engineering.
Technology is driven by need. Inventors often have an uncanny skill of resolving situations with their innovations. But what separates engineers from mere innovators is the ability to recognize the importance of sustainable technological solutions for the future. Although many of our needs and predicaments remain the same, the answers keep changing with time. I have decided to go in for graduate study that calls for personal commitment to fulfilling the crafts of independent research and dedicated involvement. I state with integrity and honesty, the following facts that led me to pursue a career in this fascinating field.
Ever since my childhood, I used to fix things at home. Sometimes it would work and other times it would go down the drain. As a kid, I’ve experimented on simple toys to various machines used at home which was obsolete. I was intrigued as to how machines worked and wanted to explore more about them. I remember a day when I fixed something at my home and everyone praised me. It was then that I realized that I had a thing for machines and this paved for my interest in Mechanical Engineering. During the process of study in this field of engineering and from the scientific world around me, I clearly felt the prominence of it in the field of science. Since then, I have been determined to pursue a Master’s program in Mechanical
I am privileged and exult at the opportunity to express my views to your esteemed faculty. At the outset, I would like to introduce myself. I am Sindura Pulimamidi a Computer Science and engineer from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, INDIA. The field of Computer Science & Engineering has been the fastest growing one for about half a decade now. Every new day sees the launch of a revolutionary technology and every passing day makes it obsolete. Perhaps this very aspect of Computer Science compelled me to seriously consider it as a profession.
merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change
I love working with ideas and concepts and the challenge of making my current processes better. And although I like creating strategic plans and innovative ways to study, and “hack” my study methods, I too often fail to implement and fully follow through with my plans. My values and idealistic internal view of myself, causes me to constantly seek out the next, the new, the improved. Because I am perceiving. I love’s to have many options. In fact, while others might be obtaining a degree to fulfill and actualize a concrete plan to secure a certain job, I, on the other hand, am obtaining my degree solely for the purpose of providing more options for myself in the future. I feel suffocated when I am stagnant and not growing or if I am stuck in one career, life circumstance or task.
I am in pursuit of a life where the education I choose lets me explore the wealth of knowledge and wisdom. I strongly recognize that manufacturing engineering is the domain where my purpose and passion mingle. It is my earnest belief that the education in manufacturing engineering that I have received until now has helped me to grasp the fundamental principles of the subject. This knowledge, when coupled with dedicated master’s study would be the ideal preparation for a career in applied research or academics in the manufacturing industry, a vast field of science from developing new materials to manufacture an aircraft. After giving a visit to an Aero India Show last year in Bangalore has, developed a curiosity in me to know the manufacturing world of an aerospace industry. It is for this reason that I wish to pursue a Masters course in Aerospace Engineering in the “Aerospace Structures and Materials track” from Delft University of Technology.
